We currently have two puppies to place: born Oct 15 07. Currently in California. We can place them anywhere in the US. We have a grant for California residents, but if you live outside of Ca and cannot pass up the opportunity to buy one of these Xolos, you may apply for a purchase placement!
Regardless of whether you want to buy a Xolo, apply for the Ca. grant, or be on a waiting list, please fill out and send in the application, here.
This insures that you are on the waiting list (without paying any fee at this point) and are higher up the list.
What the COST OF XOLOS COVERS: 1)the dog! 2)the application process, which includes finding the right match, interview of applicant and their references, service dog training preparation, referrals, a placement packet of goodies, membership to X-CPR, and other X-CPR member benefits.
APPLICATION PROCESS: for both PURCHASE placement and GRANT placements:
The FIRST STEP is to SUBMIT AN APPLICATION which you can find here.
There is NO fee to submit an application for FIRST review by X-CPR™ to determine if there is a good possibility for placement. If we proceed for serious consideration, there $100 non-refundable X-CPR™ application processing fee. This format insures that a) you are eligible b) you are serious c) neither of us wastes time and money.
X-CPR™ will contact you and inform you of whether you should proceed to the next step in the application process with your fee.
This application fee WILL be applied to the fee for the dog, IF the placement is made. Otherwise, the fee is non-refundable, so please be sure that you are serious and able to follow through with the care and training of your placement dog. Again, you can submit the first application without paying a fee.
This second part of the process includes extensive interviews of the applicant and their three references to assure we make the best match for your needs and lifestyle.
Please contact us if you have any questions! Thanks for your interest, and heartfelt stories. We hope we can help you experience the healing power of Xolos. Toaster and Pink have changed my life, and my health in ways I could never have imagined!
Here is the info on the current grant available:
X-CPR™ has recently been invited by the Arthritis Foundation of San Diego, California to apply for grants for the current litter of puppies! There is a good possibility we will be granted this opportunity if we have qualified applicants.
This particular grant criteria is:
* must be a resident of California and US citizen.
* must NOT own your own home.
* must NOT have other resources, savings which would allow you to afford the Xolo on your own.
* must be actively involved in improving your own situation.
* must be willing and able to follow the service dog training requirements of X-CPR™.
There is a fee on a sliding scale for the placement of a grant dog reflecting your commitment to the dog and evidence of ability to pay for the care and training of the dog beyond what the grant provides.
